Discription

The coin is round. On the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is grained.

 

Obverse

In the center – a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; a circular inscriptions: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom – 20 РУБЛЁЎ (20 ROUBLES) on the silver coin and 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 ROUBLE) on the copper-nickel one; along the rim – a stylized wreath of leaves and flowers of cornflower and clover representing the inflorescence of crafts closely intertwined to form the endlessness of a circle as a symbol of longevity and happiness; on the left – the year of issue, on the right – the alloy standard on the silver coin.

 

Reverse

In the center – the image of a straw horse against the background of a decorative stylized Belarusian landscape performed with the use of the straw application technique; at the top – a circumferential inscription: САЛОМАПЛЯЦЕННЕ (STRAW PLAITING).
