The coin has the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is grained.


In the centre of a circle framed by a geometric ornament - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; below - the year of coinage, on the left - alloy standard; circle inscription: at the top - "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom - denomination: "ДЗЕСЯЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TEN ROUBLES).


In the center - a relief image of the cornflowers, on of them is pad-printed with a butterfly thereon; circle inscription at the top: ВАСIЛЁК СIНI – CENTAUREA CYANUS (CORNFLOWER - CENTAUREA CYANUS).
