Discription
The coin has the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is grained.
Obverse
At the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and a circle inscription: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the centre — the picture of a modern class "ЭП" electric train against the railway terminal at Minsk Passenger Station; on the right side — the year of coinage; at the bottom — the denomination: "ДЗЕСЯЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ"(TWENTY ROUBLES) and alloy standard on the silver coin and "АД3IН РУБЕЛЬ" (ONE ROUBLE) on the copper-nickel one.
Reverse
In the center – the representation of a goods and passenger "Г" class steam engine on the rails (produced in England in 1860-1865 for the St Petersburg-Warsaw Railroad) against the terminal building at Grodno Station built in the early 1860s. There’s an inscription above the train: "150 ГАДОЎ" (150TH ANNIVERSARY); and at the top — circle inscription: "БЕЛАРУСКАЯ ЧЫГУНКА" (BELARUSIAN RAILROAD).
