Discription
The coin has the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is plain.
Obverse
At the top - circle inscription on the band: HANSA (THE HANSEATIC LEAGUE); below in the right-hand part against a stylized map with trade routes on - the inscription: the picture of a merchant sailing ship with the image of a trident – an attribute of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea (counterpart of Greek Poseidon), and a caduceus — an attribute of Mercury, the Roman god of trade (counterpart of Greek Hermes), to the right of it; in the left-hand side — a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and a circle inscription: "РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS) and the year of coinage; at the bottom — the denomination: "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ"(TWENTY ROUBLES), alloy standard, and the trademark of the Mint of Poland PLC.
Reverse
At the top – circle inscription: "ПОЛАЦК" (POLATSK); in the center against the reconstruction of the ancient city — the scene of trading in the town’s marketplace; in the left-hand side — the city’s State Emblem.
