Discription
The coin is round. On the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is corrugated.
Obverse
At the top — a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and a circular inscription: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center — the representation of "The Tree of Life", a mythological and poetic image standing for the universal concept of life in all its manifestations; at the bottom — the denomination: 50 РУБЛЁЎ (50 ROUBLES) on the gold coin and 20 РУБЛЁЎ (20 ROUBLES) on the silver one, on the left side — the alloy standard, and on the right side — the year of issue.
Reverse
In the center — a relief half-length portrait of a young Slavic woman holding a baby in her arms with two birds of paradise in addition to the spiritual component of the composition, on either side; and at the top — a circular inscription: СЛАВЯНКА (THE SLAVIC WOMAN).
The reverse of the silver coin has: in the center, under the ornamented arch — a relief half-length portrait of a young Slavic woman holding a baby in her arms; and at the top — a circular inscription: СЛАВЯНКА (THE SLAVIC WOMAN).
