Discription

The coin has the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is plain.

Obverse

In the center - an ancient sculpture of Atlas holding planet Earth on his shoulders against a stylized image of the fragment of the solar system with a circle inscription in Latin therein: SYSTEM SOLARE; at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and cirle inscription: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); on the left-hand side along the rim - the denomination: "ДЗЕСЯЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TEN ROUBLES); on the right-hand side along the rim - the year of coinage, alloy standard and the trademark of the Mint of Poland PLC. 

Reverse

In the center - an image of Mars planet made by pad-printing; in the right-hand side below - the astronomical symbol of Mars planet; in the left-hand side - an inscription in Latin: MARS. The stylized images of the fragments of the 16th-century star charts showing the solar system are used as a background.
