Discription
The coin has the shape of a circle. The edge of the coin is plain.
Obverse
At the bottom - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center - at the background of a starry sky there is an image of a boy and a girl holding an opened book; below - the year of coinage; cirle inscription at the top: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the botom - "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TWENTY ROUBLES).
Reverse
At the top - circle inscription: "ТЫСЯЧА I АДНА НОЧ" (ONE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS); in the center – a dome–shaped arch with an ornamental fragment of a ceiling of Caliph palace inside with an insert from artificial transparent crystal of blue colour, behind semi-arch windows – fantastic landscapes; at the bottom on the background of eastern city - images of the most prominent characters of eastern fairy tales: the amphora, the carpet – plane, the camel and the snake; on the left – a landscape of a night eastern city; on the right – a musical instrument – domra, a tree and birds. Turning the coin at an angle of 180° degrees instead of arches and landscapes we shall see the face of an eastern woman wearing a veil with expansive ornate decorations.
