Discription

The coin has the shape of a circle. The edge of the coin is plain.

Obverse

At the bottom - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center - at the background of a starry sky there is an image of a boy and a girl holding an opened book; below - the year of coinage; cirle inscription at the top: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the botom - "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TWENTY ROUBLES).

Reverse 

In the center against the background of the New Year tree – an image of the Nutcracker, the main character of the fairy tale with a raised saber in his hand; the Nutcracker’s cap is inlaid with a round zircon of green color as a brooch; to the right of the Nutcracker - an image of the girl Marie, to the left - an image of the Mouse King, at the bottom - an inverted figure of the Prince at the entrance to the Doll Kingdom, in the left-hand side at the bottom - circle inscription: "ШЧАЎКУНОК" (THE NUTCRACKER).
