Discription

The coin is rectangular in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The edge of the coin is plain.

Obverse

On the left-hand side at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the centre - an image of the cave drawing of a bull in the Lascaux cave in France;  the inscriptions: on the drawing – PYACORA LASCO (THE LASCAUX CAVE), to the left of the drawing – РЭСПУБЛІКА (THE REPUBLIC), at the top – БЕЛАРУСЬ (OF BELARUS); at the bottom - the year of coinage and denomination: "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TWENTY ROUBLES).

Reverse

In the center - a relief image of the most ancient figure of The Paleolithic Venus found in Kastionki village (Voronezh region) representing the Earth Goddess; on the left – the inscription: ПАЛЕАЛІТЫЧНАЯ ВЕНЕРА. КАСЦЁНКІ (PALEOLITHIC VENUS. KASTIONKI); on the right-hand side at the bottom – alloy standard.
