Discription
The coin has the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is grained.
Obverse
In the circle framed by geometric ornament - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; below - the year of coinage (alloy standard on the gold and silver coins); circle inscription at the top: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom - "СТО РУБЛЁЎ" (ONE HUNDRED RUBLES) on the gold coin, "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TWENTY RUBLES) on the silver coin, and АДЗIН РУБЕЛЬ (ONE RUBLE) on the copper–nickel one.
Reverse
Against the background of the ornamental pattern including the symbols of two countries - an image of a stylized stamp with circle inscriptions therein: "БЕЛАРУСЬ – КІТАЙ" (BELARUS – CHINA) and "20 ГАДОЎ ДЫПЛАМАТЫЧНЫХ АДНОСІН" (20 YEARS OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS); in the center - an image of a friendly handshake.
