Discription
The coin has the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coin is plain with a serial number.
Obverse
Within a circle geometric ornament - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; below - the year of coinage, alloy standard (on the silver coin); circle inscription at the top: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); at the bottom - "ТЫСЯЧА РУБЛЁЎ" (ONE THOUSAND ROUBLES).
Reverse
In the center against a background of colonnade – an image of Hellene on chariot, driving a team of four horses; at the top – inscriptions in two lines: "АΘHNA" (ATHENS) and "АЛIМПIЙСКIЯ ГУЛЬНI" (OLYMPIC GAMES), at the bottom – inscription: "2004".
