Discription

The coin is round. On the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The coin’s edge is grained.

 

Obverse

Within a circle geometric ornament — a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and an inscription along the rim: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), in the center - the image of a swallow on the background of both the picture "Moniuszko country seat in Ubel" by belarusian artist Napoleon Orda and musical notes; at the bottom: "ДЗЕСЯЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TEN ROUBLES) on the silver coin and "АД3IН РУБЕЛЬ" (ONE ROUBLE) on the copper–nickel coin, on the left - alloy standard (on a silver coin); on the right - year of issue.

Reverse

In the centre on the background of musical notes — an image of a belarusian composer Stanislaw Moniuszko and inscriptions: at the top – "S. Moniuszko", below – years of his life: "1819–1872".
