Discription

The coin has the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides there is a rim along the circumference. The edge of the coins bears inscription "УМАЦАВАННЕ І АБАРОНА ДЗЯРЖАВЫ" (FORTIFICATION AND DEFENDING THE STATE).

Obverse

At the top – a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and a circle inscription: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center – a reconstruction of the fortified castle of ancient Novogorodok (at present – Novogrudok); below – the inscription: "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ"(TWENTY ROUBLES) on the silver coin and "АДЗІН РУБЕЛЬ" (ONE ROUBLE) – on the copper–nickel one, the year of coinage; on the silver coin on the right – alloy standard.

Reverse

In the center – a relief image of Davyd of Garadzen; on the left – an impress of a loppy seal used for official charters with an image of Prince Dovmont Nalshansky who reigned under the Christian name of Timofey and was according to one of the versions the father of Davyd of Garadzen; and circle inscriptions: "ДАВЫД ГАРАДЗЕНСКІ" (DAVYD OF GARADZEN) and the years of his reign: 1314–1326.
